Get there early!!!
Hamilton Pool - 9/8/2008  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 1star
Distance: 1.00 Mile Duration: 20 minutes

This place is so much busier than it was 10-15 years ago, lucikly it hasn't changed overall.  They have added bathrooms about 5 minutes away from the pool, which was comforting.  The falls weren't falling a lot because of lack of rain but the water is cool.  Bu sure to get there before 10 to pull right in or you might have to wait till someone leaves to get a parking spot...I rated this hike so high in difficulty because I was carrying my 3 year old girl, which is suggested because of the terrian is tight and bumpy.  Don't bring heavy coolers or strollers....

Good Hike...
Good Water Trail - 11/28/2007  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 2stars Solitude: 4stars
Distance: 3.00 Miles Duration: 2 hours, 30 minutes

Another good hike....The trail was a little muddy after you get past the crushed rock and after you get past mile marker 1, you can see how high the water got in the past couple months....My daughter got distracted easily which shortened the hike, but overall it was fun and I would reccommend it to friends......

Great Hike!!
Barton Creek - Upper North - 11/4/2007  [View Log Page]
Rating: 4stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 2stars
Distance: 3.00 Miles Duration: 2 hours, 30 minutes

This is a great hike...there is so much you can do.  Go for the distance and hit Zilker and back or go to nice relaxing views of waterfalls and a quick dip.  You can go up the river and see a lot more....or explore a little and get off the main trails....There was more bikers but they were nice and tried to let you know that they were coming so I could get out of the way.....Next time I'll try a longer hike earlier in the morning....

This trail needs work
Comanche Bluff Trail - 10/28/2007  [View Log Page]
Rating: 2stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 4stars
Distance: 3.00 Miles Duration: 4 hours, 30 minutes

This was a fun trail until you cross the first big bridge.  I went immediately right and the trail died out real fast.  So I went back to the bridge and then the trail took me into a camping area...after walking around for a while I found a small little nice trail that went alongside of the trail however it soon died out also.....I found a little playground that my child on and then we did the trail again....I was kinda disappointed...I think I will stay left of the camping grounds next time and I might pick up the rest of the trail....I only rating the difficulty so high because it was so hard to find the trail....no maps or anything......

Nice hike for the kids
Wild Basin - 10/20/2007  [View Log Page]
Rating: 4stars Difficulty: 1star Solitude: 2stars
Distance: 2.50 Miles Duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes

This is a good hike with good amounts of shade.  It's nice because it has informational handouts about the vegataton and other interesting notables....Good for kids who are starting to hike themselves because it has plenty of spots to sit and rest with a decent overlook spot. I thought it would be more difficult than it was however was able to carry my 2 year old daughter and my 8 month pregnant wife was able to hike the inner circle trail which was fun....
