Pretty but not much variability

We hiked the full two miles out and back, and I was disappointed to see that the vast majority of the trail consisted of walking along a narrow (sometimes muddy) path nestled amongst waist-high greenery in the woods. It was enjoyable and the many spurs over to the creek afforded nice views (and many, many frog sightings!), but I was hoping for something besides the vanilla sameness that pervaded all but the first few minutes of the trail. Don't get me wrong -- it's a nice walk, but a destination like Comanche Bluff Trail would have been much more enjoyable.
Very easy, very short

I found this hike when looking for something easy for a relative who has trouble walking. It was ideal for those circumstances -- pretty flat, pretty straight, lots of wildflowers. My only complaint was the multitudes of mosquitoes that attacked us at 9 in the morning. However, despite how nice this hike was, it would have left something to be desired for anybody with *any* hiking experience.
Easy and short

This little trail is charming and easy and affords nice views of Onion Creek. When taking the trail clockwise, there's a confusing moment when you leave the woods and have to decide which way to go to pick up the trail again -- just turn right and follow the tree line. You'll see the trail within twenty feet or so.
Some tricky parts, but nothing extreme

Due to the recent rain, the trail was a little muddy in places. This wouldn't have been a problem except that there were several spots on the trail that had small, steep slopes of rock, and it was difficult to get the traction we wanted when our shoes were now muddy. That was only an inconvenience, however, and it was definitely a surmountable obstacle. This was a nice trail.
Nice and easy

Though there were lots of kids there, they didn't show up until afternoon. The first half of my day was predominantly kid free. Additionally, the kids weren't running around like crazy at a campsite -- they were quietly biking or fishing with their parents. The wildflowers here were abundant, and the giant field of flowers by the upper falls parking lot had oodles of butterflies by the tree line.
