One of the best hikes in Central Texas

Trailhead
The trailhead resides at the back of the loop road that encircles the park lake.

Location: Inks Lake State Park

Rating: 4point5stars
Difficulty: 3point5stars  Solitude: 4stars
Miles Hiked: 5.35 Miles  Elapsed Time: N/A

Comments: My girlfriend and I enjoyed this hike more the average outing. Despite the hot temperatures the rolling terrain over domes of granite are both interesting and challenging. Despite crossing the road a couple of times we encountered few people on the trail. In the back part of the loop it seemed like we had the whole park to ourselves. Throw in lots of bird and animal sightings and you have the recipe for fun hiking.
