My two young sons and I spent >2 hours trying without success to locate cache. Hiked the entire H&B trail and three maintenance roads and never got closer than 200' to the cache. When we tried cutting throught the brush to proceed directly to it, we were stopped by an unbelievable number of burrs on our skin and clothes. I'm afraid my family has lost the enthusiam for participating in this "fun" activity again.

This is not that hard, as long as you commit to hiking a bit. With the winding trails, it's hard to determine whether your really getting closer or farther away. If you want to hike the Homestead trail at McKinney Falls just keep going and you'll get there regardless of which way you go.
