I began at the YMCA and went north all the way to the Johnny Morris Rd trailhead, where I turned around can came back. This whole trail is paved and rather wide, which makes it nice and easy. I'm going to come back and jog it soon, hopefully the full length. I passed a few cyclists, but not many people were out today (probably due to the on-and-off-rain).
The half of the trail I did today wound through some wooded areas and there were a couple of nice overlooks of the city skyline, so it is a visually interesting hike/bike trail.
We started at Jain Lane west of 183 as it is not finished to the south yet. It is concrete and there are some elevated sections. For it's location it does seem to get away into the open for the most part. Almost completely flat except for a few ups and downs. We biked north past the spur to the Y (probably the ideal place to park). It apparently goes up to Loyola, and past it if you don't mind dirt since it's not finished.
