Enabling Javascript

Austin Explorer makes frequent use of Javascript for some functionality, such as maps. In order to ensure that you can enjoy the site to its fullest you should enable Javascript in your browser.

To enable Javascript, follow the directions below depending on which browser you are using.

Internet Explorer

These steps were tried with Internet Explorer 10, though they should also work with IE 9.

  1. Press Alt+T then "O" to bring up the options dialog box.
  2. Click on the "Security" tab.
  3. Click on the "Custom level..." button.
  4. Scroll down the list of settings until you see "Active Scripting" beneath the "Scripting" section.
  5. Click on the "Enable" radio button.
  6. Click on the "OK" box to save your changes.

Firefox

These steps were tried with Firefox version 18.01

  1. Press Alt+T then "O" to bring up the options dialog box.
  2. Click on the "Content" tab, if it is not already selected.
  3. Click on the "Enable Javascript" checkbox if it is not already checked.
  4. Click on the "OK" button to save your changes.

Google Chrome

These steps were tried with Google Chrome version 24.0.1312.56

  1. Press Alt+F then "S" to bring up the settings dialog box.
  2. Click on "Show Advanced Settings..." at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click the "Content settings..." button under the "Privacy" section.
  4. Click on the "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)" radio button.
  5. Press the "OK" button to save your changes.
