Comments:
When the Mesa Park neighborhood was developed in the 70's, the land that Schroeter Park is on was meant to be a school. After the school plans were cancelled, it was going to be built on with more houses, but the city bought the land to use as a park. That said, it's really just a big patch of land with some neat cactus stands, trails crisscrossing it, and lots of people walking their dogs.
