Turn off Airport Blvd on Aldrich which turns into Simond. Very nice use of the old airport property. Nice walk around the pond in Lake Park. Continue south on the path along Airport and there is now a greenbelt there. It is short but they did a nice job with it. Once you reach the end, if youre new to Austin and a fan of history, check out the old airport control tower and parking lot, which is not gated off. Also check out Patterson Park which has a short trail around it, and Airport Blvd is very easy to cross.
