With the fourth bomb reported in Austin, TX, this time at a seemingly random place near Gaines Creek Park, it would be prudent to use extra caution when venturing outside in the Austin area. As the police have warned, do not approach suspicious packages or objects you come across. Back away and contact the authorities immediately.

Our hearts go out to the victims (both injured and killed) and hope the madness ends soon.

It's a sad state of affairs in which we find ourselves.

Now that the bomber has been "captured"? "Neutralized"? Whatever. It's over. Hopefully the most distressing thing to think about in the coming months on the trail is whether or not the plant you brushed up against a mile back was poison ivy.
