Lots of good news about parks in California lately.

Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park south of San Francisco is home to the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast. The park that contains it will now also be 133 acres larger in size. This thanks to a donation from the Peninsula Open Space Trust.

In the Central Valley there are three new state parks being added to an already impressive state park portfolio. This includes the San Joaquin River Parkway near Fresno, the Dust Bowl Camp near Bakersfield and the Feather River State Park in Yuba County. More about these additions here.
